Crystal Jewellery Size Guide

Crystal jewellery photographs are often enlarged to show bead, stone and setting detail. Use the measurements on the product page and the guidance below to choose a comfortable size.

Bracelet sizing

How to measure your wrist

  1. Use a flexible measuring tape. If you do not have one, wrap a strip of paper or non-stretch thread around your wrist and measure it against a ruler.
  2. Measure at the point where you want the bracelet to sit, usually just below the wrist bone.
  3. Keep the tape in contact with the skin without pulling it tight.
  4. Write down the wrist circumference and compare it with the product’s stated inner circumference or fit range.

Comfort allowance

Preferred fit Add to wrist measurement
Close fit Approximately 0.5 cm / 0.2 in
Comfort fit Approximately 1.0 cm / 0.4 in
Loose fit Approximately 1.5 cm / 0.6 in

This is a general guide. Large beads occupy more internal space than small beads, so an 8 mm or 10 mm bracelet can feel tighter than a slim bracelet with the same outer circumference.

Elastic and adjustable bracelets

Elastic bracelets have some flexibility but should not be selected by stretching them to their maximum. Adjustable cord bracelets may fit a wider range; check the minimum and maximum measurements stated on the product page.

Bead-size appearance

  • 6 mm: lighter, more subtle appearance.
  • 8 mm: the common everyday crystal-bracelet size and a balanced unisex look.
  • 10 mm and above: bolder appearance, heavier feel and greater internal-space requirement.

Anklet sizing

Measure around the ankle at the point where the anklet will sit. Add a comfort allowance so the anklet can move without pressing into the skin. Check whether the product is elastic, fixed-length or adjustable and whether the listing is for one anklet or a pair.

Ring sizing

Using a ring that already fits

Place a well-fitting ring on a ruler and measure the internal diameter across the widest point, excluding the metal edge. Compare that diameter with the size information on the product page.

Measuring the finger

Wrap a narrow strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark the meeting point and measure the length. Do not pull tightly. Measure later in the day when fingers are at a normal temperature, and repeat the measurement. Knuckle width, weather, swelling and the width of the ring band can affect fit.

Pendants and chains

Check both pendant dimensions and chain length. A close-up image can make a small pendant look larger than it is. Use a ruler to visualise the listed length and width before ordering.

Malas and necklaces

Review bead diameter, total length, number of beads, tassel or pendant length and whether the measurement is taken end-to-end or around the loop. Larger beads make a mala heavier and more visually prominent.

Natural and handmade tolerance

Small differences can occur in bead diameter, carving size, elastic tension and handmade construction. Product-specific measurements always take priority over this general guide.
